September 19 is Ukrainian Music Day.
The establishment of Ukrainian Music Day aims to preserve and promote Ukrainian musical heritage, support contemporary Ukrainian music, and honor the contributions of Ukrainian performers, composers, and music figures.
To mark the occasion, the Scientific Library of the State Tax University invites you on a fascinating journey through the centuries – from the earliest folklore sources to the hits applauded worldwide today.
The advisory exhibition «Ukrainian Music: From Folk Dumas to Modern Songs» features unique sheet music editions, biographies, and memoirs of prominent figures, as well as studies on the history of domestic culture in the context of its national revival.

Together, we will turn the pages on ancient folklore and Cossack dumas, remember the giants of our culture – such as Mykola Leontovych, the author of «Shchedryk» (Carol of the Bells), Mykola Lysenko, and other composers – immerse ourselves in memories of the legendary Volodymyr Ivasyuk, and discover collections on modern Ukrainian rock, Eurovision victories, and artists standing strong on our cultural front today.
