Professor of the Department of Accounting and Audit of the Faculty of Taxation, Accounting and Audit of the State Tax University, Volodymyr Metelytsia, participated in the international Philipp Schwartz Forum 2026, which took place on April 9–10, 2026, in Berlin at the Freie Universität Berlin and was organized by the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation.

The forum brought together about 350 researchers, academic supervisors, representatives of universities, and international organizations from different countries around the world to discuss issues of academic freedom, support for researchers under crisis conditions, development of international scientific cooperation, and restoration of scientific systems in countries affected by war and political conflicts.

Within the framework of the forum, Volodymyr Metelytsia presented the scientific poster “ESG Reporting in a Crisis Economy: Institutional Adaptation in Ukrainian Agribusiness,” dedicated to the development of ESG reporting in the agricultural sector of Ukraine under conditions of war and economic instability.

The study analyzed the transformation of ESG approaches in a crisis economy, the results of interviews with Ukrainian agricultural enterprises, and proposed an adaptive ESG reporting model for countries with high institutional risks. The research was conducted at the Leibniz Institute of Agricultural Development in Transition Economies (Germany) (IAMO).

The forum was held within the framework of the Philipp Schwartz Initiative, an international program supporting researchers affected by war, persecution, or armed conflicts. The initiative is funded by the Federal Foreign Office of Germany and coordinated by the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation.
