On 12.05.2025, a guest lecture was held for students and academic staff of the Irpin Professional College of Economics and Law on the topic: «The role and importance of tax culture in the democratization of relations between taxpayers and public authorities» within the framework of the Project «Formation of a sustainable interest in the EU tax culture through the introduction of educational, scientific and communication awareness-raising activities aimed at Ukrainian society» of the European Union's Erasmus + Jean Monnet Module. The speakers of the guest lecture were Olga Ivanyshyna, PhD, Associate Professor, Head of the Department of Tax Administration of the Faculty of Taxation, Accounting and Audit of the State Tax University, project leader of the project, and Iryna Prokopenko,, PhD, Associate Professor of the Department of Tax Administration of the Faculty of Taxation, Accounting and Audit of the State Tax University, project manager.
The lecturers introduced the students to the formation of a tax culture in relations between taxpayers and regulatory authorities in the EU countries, which are characterised by a high level of mutual understanding, professionalism and trust. The students were given a quiz to test their knowledge, during which they showed great interest and enjoyed the emotionally charged and practically oriented lesson.
At the end of the class, both students and teachers noted that the study and implementation of successful European practices in Ukraine is extremely important for the formation of tax culture and tax discipline in society.
