June 25 marks the Customs Officer Day of Ukraine.

Today, Ukraine's customs system is undergoing its most large-scale transformation since independence. According to the European Commission's findings, the customs sector remains among the leaders of Ukraine's European integration process in 2025. In the European Commission's Report within the 2025 European Union Enlargement Package, released on November 4, 2025, the customs direction is one of the negotiating chapters that received the highest rating.

The integration of national customs legislation into European Union law is not just a legal adaptation, but a strategic bridge that will permanently eliminate administrative borders between Ukraine and the European community.

The harmonization of Ukraine's customs legislation with EU law involves the implementation of modern customs control mechanisms, digitalization of customs procedures, simplification of conditions for compliant businesses, and ensuring effective protection of the state's financial interests.

To mark the Customs Officer Day of Ukraine, the Scientific Library of the State Tax University (Building C, Room 369) is hosting an exhibition titled «Integration of Ukraine's Customs Legislation into EU Law».

The exhibition features regulatory and legal acts, educational literature, and monographs highlighting the process of adapting Ukraine's customs legislation to European requirements, the specifics of the EU customs system's functioning, and the prospects for Ukraine's further integration into the single European space.

We invite you to explore the materials of the exhibition and learn more about this vital step for Ukraine on its path to full membership in the European Union.

We also invite you to watch a video presentation on this topic!

The video presentation and book exhibition were prepared by Nataliia Ilina, Scientific Library of the STU.
