February 25 marks the Ukrainian Woman’s Day, a day to honor women who, through their love, courage, and hard work, are transforming Ukraine.

In Ukrainian tradition, women have always been the guardians of the family and the home, while simultaneously being active participants in social and political processes. Ukrainian women have consistently played a vital role in liberation movements, cultural revival, politics, and education. Figures such as Lesya Ukrainka, Olha Kobylyanska, Solomiya Krushelnytska, and many others proved that a woman can be a creator, a leader, and a symbol of national dignity.

Ukrainian women have always been distinguished by their strength of character, thirst for freedom, and the ability to combine fragility with willpower, and tenderness with resilience. Prominent Ukrainian women have significantly influenced the development and establishment of our state.

In the modern world, Ukrainian women play a decisive role in all spheres of life, achieving great success in science, business, art, and sports. In the context of war, the role of women as nurturers, volunteers, and defenders continues to grow.

To mark this occasion, the Scientific Library of the State Tax University (Room 372, Building C) has organized a book exhibition from its collection titled «Women Make History», featuring materials about outstanding women in history. All of them were strong personalities who lived in different times and conditions, but their life victories and experiences serve as a model for the achievements of modern women.

Congratulations to all on this holiday, dear Ukrainian women! May we all have a peaceful sky, and may we always remain as unbreakable in spirit as Ukraine itself. May God bless us from heaven!

We also invite you to explore the virtual exhibition on this topic!
