On April 9, on the eve of the bright holiday of Easter, the Scientific Library of the State Tax University hosted a warm and inspiring workshop for students dedicated to the art of decoupage and festive decoration of Easter eggs. The name decoupage comes from the French word «découper», meaning to cut out. It is the art of decorating objects by applying paper cutouts.
The workshop was attended by university lecturers and students from groups FB-24-1, OPSB-25-1, and MBB-25-1, as well as students from the Irpin Vocational College of Economics and Law, groups F-21 and F-23.
Participants not only learned about the history of this applied art and Easter traditions but also created their own small masterpieces – unique decorative items, putting their creativity and mood into every detail. The technique proved to be simple yet very effective: using only the top layer of colored napkins and ordinary egg white as a natural glue. The result – eco-friendly, safe, and incredibly beautiful! The atmosphere of the event was filled with creativity, communication, and sincere emotions.
The workshop became a true celebration of creativity and unity.
A meaningful addition to the event was the book exhibition «Easter Miracle».
The event was prepared and conducted by the Head of the Academic Literature Service Department, Halyna Pavlenko, and Category I Librarian, Nataliia Ilyina.
We thank all the participants who joined our «magical action» for their activity, inspiration, and desire to preserve and develop Ukrainian traditions!
