On April 7, 2026, the Scientific Library of the State Tax University hosted an exciting intellectual quest titled «Scythian Gold: Find the Hidden». The event brought together students from various departments in a genuine quest for knowledge and historical treasures.

The Director of the Library, Svitlana Tsymbaliuk, opened the event with a welcoming speech.

The event was attended by:

  • Dmytro Ventskovskyi, Vice-Rector for Scientific and Pedagogical Work and Social Development of STU, emphasizing the importance of such initiatives for the development of the student community;
  • Iryna Shchyra, Deputy Director of the Library for Library Services and Methodological Work.

In his address, the Vice-Rector highlighted a crucial skill for the modern era: the ability to navigate the vast ocean of information.

«In a world where the volume of data grows every minute, the library remains the reliable filter that helps choose the credible and acquire true professional knowledge», noted Mr. Ventskovskyi.

Three teams representing the Academic and Research Institute of Law, the Faculty of Social and Humanitarian Technologies, Sports and Rehabilitation, and the Irpin Vocational College of Economics and Law dived into the world of Scythian culture. Students worked with the library’s electronic catalog, located necessary sources, and searched for books directly within the library stacks.

The tasks required not only attention to detail but also analytical thinking, as answers regarding Scythian treasures had to be uncovered within scientific publications. Students enthusiastically solved mysteries, followed clues among the bookshelves, and demonstrated excellent teamwork. It was a perfect example of how the path to knowledge can become a real adventure!

All teams showed a high level of preparation and unity. The celebration concluded with an awards ceremony. Based on the quest results, every team received certificates and a financial prize from the Rector's Fund, providing great motivation for future achievements.

The treasures were sought and found by the following students:

  • Anhelina Vershyhora, Daria Mairko, Yuliia Tilizhenko (Group ZhB-25-1);
  • Yelyzaveta Bondarenko, Yana Lotaniuk (Group MPB-24-1);
  • Oleksandra Levchenko (Group PBS-24-2);
  • Vladyslav Panasenko, Rostyslav Troshchenko, Danylo Semerenko (Group K-22);
  • Albina Pisna (Group PBPD-25-1).

We thank all participants for their energy, curiosity, and love for history!
