On November 5, 2025, a guest lecture on the topic "Methodological foundations of building a scientific research apparatus in the field of mathematics teaching methods" was held at the Department of Higher and Applied Mathematics of the Faculty of Finance and Digital Technologies of the State Tax University, which was given by Drushlyak Maryna Hryhorivna - Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor of the Department of Mathematics, Physics and Methods of Their Teaching of the Sumy State Pedagogical University named after A. S. Makarenko.
The lecture was attended by scientific and pedagogical workers of the Department of Higher and Applied Mathematics together with higher education applicants of the second (master's) level in the specialty 014 "Secondary education (by subject specialties)", the first (master's) level in the specialty A4 "Secondary education (by subject specialties)", as well as representatives of partner educational institutions - Sumy State Pedagogical University named after A.S. Makarenko and Irpin Professional College of Economics and Law.
During the lecture, higher education applicants learned what the scientific apparatus of research is and what role it plays in building the logic and structure of scientific work. They got acquainted with the components of the scientific apparatus - relevance, problem, object, subject, goal, objectives, methods, novelty and practical significance of the study.
Students learned to distinguish between the object and subject of research, to formulate the goal and objectives in accordance with the identified problem. Particular attention was paid to the analysis of the state of development of the problem in the special literature, methods of selection and systematization of scientific sources, as well as requirements for the approbation of research results and description of the applicant's personal contribution.
The meeting was held in a creative and scientifically motivating atmosphere, contributing to the development of the research culture of future mathematics teachers.
The Department of Higher and Applied Mathematics sincerely thanks Maryna Hryhorivna Drushlyak for a meaningful, scientifically rich and practically oriented lecture, valuable advice and inspiration for further scientific research!
