The concluding event that united students around the idea of mobility was an open lecture "Discover the World with STU: Academic Mobility and Opportunities for Youth," conducted by the Head of the International Relations Department, Maryna Sokur, together with her team.
The event began with a welcoming speech from the Vice-Rector for Research,
Vice-rector for scientific work Oleksandra Smirnova addressed the students with wishes of confidence, openness to new challenges, and courage to use the international opportunities that STU provides today. Mrs. Smirnova emphasized the importance of youth participation in academic mobility programs as a path to personal and professional growth, as well as to building Ukraine's European future.
During the meeting, students received comprehensive information about:
- Academic mobility programs within Erasmus+ and other initiatives;
- Internships, summer schools, familiarization visits, double degree programs;
- Real examples of STU students' participation in international trips to Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, Romania;
- Advantages of international education for personal and professional development.
Students actively participated in the discussion, asked questions, and shared their dreams and plans for studying abroad. The atmosphere was inspiring, open, and motivating. Each participant felt that the opportunities of the open world are closer than they seem.
We sincerely thank the Erasmus+ office in Ukraine for their partnership support, informational materials, and branded products, which the most active students received. This support is an important motivation for young people who are just beginning their international educational journey.
During May, faculties and scientific-educational institutes held meaningful events, which once again proved that STU actively implements European approaches in education:
Department of Cybernetics and Applied Mathematics: lecture "Unlocking the Power of Data: An Introduction to Data Science" – a deep dive into the world of modern analytics;
Educational and Scientific Institute of Economic Security and Customs: participation in an international scientific event on financial security issues, within the framework of the meeting, Professor Marta Konovalova from the University of Barcelona (Spain) gave a presentation to students on the topic: "Realización de los principios de buen gobierno en Cataluña / Implementation of good governance principles in Catalonia".
