A working meeting was held between the Head of STU, Dmytro Serebrianskyi, and Azer Khudiyev, who served as the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Azerbaijan to Ukraine in 2016–2020.
During the visit, the parties discussed potential areas of cooperation, particularly in the field of international partnership with leading higher education institutions in Azerbaijan. They also talked about the prospects for implementing joint initiatives and professional interaction in shaping a modern system for training specialists.
Dmytro Serebrianskyi introduced Mr. Khudiyev to the university campus infrastructure, focusing on the topic of the university's reconstruction after the damage caused by hostilities during the city's occupation. The acting rector also spoke about the progress of restoration work, the efforts of the team, and the search for partners who will assist in the full restoration of the university. Dmytro Serebrianskyi emphasized that the goal of reconstruction is to create a space of new content: open, innovative, and future-oriented.
In addition, during the meeting, the winning architectural project, selected within the framework of an international competition, was presented. Its concept envisages the renovation of the central building and the creation of a modern university environment that meets the best global trends.
It should be noted that STU continues to actively strengthen its partnership base and expresses gratitude to everyone who supports the chosen course of university development – education for the future.
