February 24 – the day the full-scale war in Ukraine began; a day that changed the course of our history and became a symbol of pain, unity, and resilience.

Dear Users!

The Scientific Library of the State Tax University invites you to visit the thematic exhibition «The Voice of Books: Strength and Hope in Times of War». This exposition is more than just a collection of publications; it is a «Space of Memory» documenting the events of the full-scale invasion that began on February 24, 2022.

United under the slogan «Our Memory is Our Strength», the collection highlights the tragic and heroic pages of our modern history through several key areas:

  • Geography and Chronicles of Resilience:Books about Irpin, Bucha, and Hostomel – Hero Cities whose battles became turning points in the defense of our state.
  • Mariupol: A City of Grief and Fear:Documentary chronicles by John Connors and eyewitness diaries capturing the final days and the evacuation from the occupied city.
  • Human Destinies and Fortitude:Publications featuring over 500 interviews (including the book «Plakhta»), collecting the testimonies of Ukrainians about surviving in shelters without heat or light during the first year of the war.
  • 256 Days of Kherson Region Occupation:«Occupation Diary» by Anhelina Vietrova, describing the journey from the first days of the invasion to the emotions felt during the region's liberation.
  • The Philosophy of Freedom:Authorial research by Serhiy Zhadan and other artists on what exactly makes us free and what hinders our freedom.

The exhibition aims to preserve the truth and help each of us reflect on the experience we gain every day. For recorded history is a weapon that brings our Victory closer.

We look forward to seeing you in the Reading Room (Building C, Room 433) of the Scientific Library!
